Cipro - is a FLORO-quionolone (winkwink, nudgenudge.)

Cipro is a floroquinolone.
That means a floride molecule is bound to the quinolone (the antibacterial agent) to get it into hard-to-reach parts of the body by breaking through cell membranes which use Iodine and chlorides as part of their intake/output parts.

3 months of cipro is most likely to have been what started your downturn, that is potentially a lot of flouride to have taken in.

Halides work on a pretty basic principle, what you take in, displaces and gets rid of what you have currently in the body.

I've found Iodine and boron supplementation to improve a good deal of my own symptoms (lingering depression, hypothyroidisim, difficulty concentrating, low body temperature, low energy).
I do not feel that Iodine is the answer to everything, but a really good tool!

*after reading more of this thread*
Rx drugs are concentrated forms of herbal remedies, in many cases- taking a chemisty-extracted element from a known effective plant or mold or.. whathaveyou, and playing with it via chemical activities to achieve a certain end.

RxIng is going to take a tax on your liver and kidneys whichever way you turn, Rx against parasites, or Rx against fungals.
It's your choice, thankfully!
There's a lot of people who draw the line in the sand against perscriptions, period. I feel like the best answer is.. evaluate the state of your body as is (what is it fighting, what is my nutritional status (ability to make glutathione/GSH), what variables need to be taken into account), and choose the wisest path.

So we all make mistakes on which paths we choose..? I took too much iodine in the beginning without following instructions, so.. myeh, I learned something that way.
