Oh it isn't torment life after life at all. You usually take a few 'vacation lives' in between the really horrid but highly educational ones .

Most of us can't take too many of those *cruel* 'educational' ones in a row! *lol* Those 'vacation' lives are a bit sparse right now true, cuz these are the end times and we're about to finish up this cycle so everyone's hunkered down--ready to take one for the team, so to speak.

What lives you live is entirely your choice. You and your higher self look over what you are trying to learn, look for a life you think will provide the opportunities you want, you pick one and back you go.

Of course, because there is no time in the higher plane where the spirit goes (its the destination of that beam of light) so you can hang around out there as long as you want, and still stay in sync with the rest of your journey partners because you can come back immediately or the next day.

Or next century--it's entirely your choice. Most do sequential though. Jumps like a century are kinda confusing cuz you don't have any sense of that time based on growing into it--and of course your friends at your spirit level won't be there. only their future versions.

'Hell' is just the first step to the higher plane though. If you lived a mean life, all those folks you hurt are right there waiting ready to share with you the pain they felt at your hand (or tongue, of course). I know plenty of 'religious' folk go thru that on their way up.

Actually spending your life in 'hell' sounds far more cruel to me.
