Have you tried starting with a tiny dose--10mg-- of the grandmother hormone, pregnenolone, the immediate precursor of progesterone?
You might also include some adrenal *cortex* glandular along with it. For example Thorne makes such a product.

B and C vitamins can also be useful--much more could be said about this!
This might allow your body to adjust to the higher, more normal amounts of hormones. It may need a number of weeks to do this.
Do you have sensitivity to chemicals--diesel and perfume smells, various foods that amp you up, etc? If not, I like your chances for your body do gradually adjust to the low doses.
Do you have secondary adrenal insufficiency?
If so why? Is mercury from amalgams, flu vaccines, tuna, etc affecting your pituitary, etc.
If Hg is involved you'll have a list of symptoms. Since you are apparently not yet middle aged the list might not be terribly long. You'll see the lists under hair tests from members of detox groups.
