Re: Hyperinfection Hospice

I'm writing a short horror story.

Once upon a time and times, in times past and present, there was and is a Vampire on an internet forum dedicated to health and wellness issues.
Yes, an actual vampire. A life/energy vampire.

When it was called on its ploys, it would change its name.
And come back.
It always had the same story, the same characters in its story, so it was always easy to identify.
Numerous posting name/number changes, and with each, with time, numerous calling outs.

This vampire specialized, and specializes, in sucking life energy from members of the forum.

It victimized, and victimizes, people who are quite ill and struggling themselves.
It seeks to get attention from these suffering people of good will, energy and attention they could and should be paying to themselves and others of sane and decent character.

Numerous are those who have been drained, and are being drained.

It feigns near death while sucking life from others.
In a very real sense, it is the living dead.

The funny thing is, newer posters never had a clue, and never have a clue. Unaware of the vampire's tactics and history, they thought, and think, that others who had and have been around long enough to know the score, were, and are, "picking," on some poor suffering soul.
Ha! They were just, and are, Had.
They just contributed an Emotional Shot, a Jolt, from themselves, into the Funnel.... right to the vampire.

I don't know how I'm going to end the story.

I've thought about putting a twist into the mix in that the vampire has had a block inserted, so that it doesn't realize exactly what it is.
I just goes on and on, like a programmed bio-robot.

Then again, I'm not satisfied with that and will likely not include it in the finished version.
If there ever is a finished version.

The story may never near completion.
I have a bunch of them in various states.
Some never see the light of day in any form.
Or forum.
Or print.
Or film.

In my story the vampire is not a woman, but a man.
There are no children involved.
So it goes without saying that it is not about this forum or anyone in it.

Any resemblance to living, or dead, or living dead persons is strictly coincidental.
