You are right it was the bloodwork rather than hypothyroidism. It would make more sense to test with body temperature and symptom observation, as Broda Barnes did.

I wonder how iodine-supplemented Mums deal with this. If they know that the TSH could be high, then I could imagine them just refusing the TSH test on their newborn, to avoid the aggravation of being told to medicate.

Iodine is a big piece in the puzzle. I can't believe I only woke up to this so recently after having cleansed for years (though maybe that's a good thing). I wonder what else I've missed.

I saw some of pictures you posted of your grandkids, cute'n'clever I'd say. From your experience, anything that Mums-to-be should do to prepare for a healthy baby apart from iodine?
