Re: Hyperinfection patients
While I don't know if I've ever had a 'super' bug, I had a couple of customers along the way who probably did--mostly the bronchial ones--they'd been on
Antibiotic for months. I'd see them every day and finally asked if they wanted to try a herbal approach. Both said 'anything if it stops this hacking!'. So I gave them some goldenseal root caps I had on hand (working with the public exposes you to a lot of crap), told them to take a couple every 4 or 5 hours (didn't know about needing to take them with a hot beverage to make sure they got metabolized) but since they had a hot latte in their hand, it wasn't an issue.
The next day, both came in looking much fresher without the constant hacking. Both said they were going to the health food store that day and get some goldenseal root. Within 2 or 3 days, all their symptoms were gone and they were back to their normal not necessarily healthy selfs. I suspect those 'super' bugs aren't resistant to more natural approaches because those approaches work differently than an antibiotic. Just a thought for super bug suffers. :)
I've found goldenseal root to be the best for bacteria, echinacea purpurea for virus, and olive leaf extract for fungus--some of the new strains of 'colds' are actually fungal infections, I've found, which typical cold meds don't even touch. And you for sure don't want to go anywhere near big pharma's versions of antifungals. I think they've deliberately made them so toxic because one of their ginormous money makers is 'cancer' which I've discovered is really just a fungal infection (got rid of a liver tumor). They wouldn't want you accidentally curing your 'cancer' while treating a cold or athlete's foot, now would they??
