Yes it's dairy..I use organic whole milk. I have tried goats milk which I believe is better when fermenting kefir, plus ideal for those who are lactose intolerant. Unfortunately I didn't like the taste of goats milk so stuck with cows milk.
I have also started to incorporate a probiotic and digestive enzymes to help keep my gut happy, so far so good. I tried taking additional high strength biotin in supplement form as I believe this also aids leaky gut-but I found it gave me pimples! I believe kefir contains a lot of biotin so perhaps I was over doing it.
Next on my list is homemade bone broth which I plan to do over the next few weeks. Overall skin has definitely improved.. I can still see one stubborn patch on my forehead (no one else can see it!) which I am battling with but I will win,...I'm chucking everything at this :-))
