Re: electrolytes

I have had electrolyte issues post Mirena. I didn't notice it as that at first though. I knew I had dry eyes and tongue but didn't feel overly thirsty. I had some labs done in one of my 3 ER visits because of this device but only my sodium level was on the low side. I pee quite often with this imbalance too and am exhausted. I think this is hormonal fluctuations. I was trying to stay on top of it by drinking Gatorade but it didn't fix it. I remembered that coconut oil helps restore electrolyte balance. It has worked better than the Gatorade so far. I am still drinking it too. I know a progesterone deficiency or estrogen dominance can cause electrolytes to be off. It is sad you have to fix yourself with these issues. I also have mini panic attacks now that make my upper arms and thighs puff up and the backs of my arms go numb. Maybe blood Sugar related? It mostly happens in the middle of the night. All of this since my Mirena came out at the end of May this year. They are working on my hormones. I had labs done today so hopefully they find something soon. Frustrating! I would never recommend anyone to get this device!
