Re: A few questions about the master cleanse.
A lot of basic questions that you can get from a quick google. I'll help with the salt part. I think it's better than smooth move/Senna type tea. To get past the gagging I've found that "Celtic
Sea Salt " sold in a bag for about $8 at health food stores is a bit more pleasant than the Himalayan pink salt. Though both are excellent quality. Remember don't use ordinary
table salt with
Iodine (E.g. Morton's). If the salt water makes you gag, water it down a bit. I find if I take a 16
oz glass, and have one teaspoon of Celtic salt. Hold my nose and chug. Then wait 2 minutes and do a second 16
oz glass. That's enough for a good flush in about 30 minutes. Waiting for the 3 rumble or feeling of a push down there. Another trick if you still gag is to add a bit of your cleanse lemonade to it- just an ounce or so.
As far as the pepper I may tend to overdo it because I like hot stuff. But a quarter teaspoon for 16oz should do it.
For maple syrup- if your skin tingles or the juice tastes sweet and too good- you're probably using too much in my opinion. Burroughs does say to lower the syrup for more weight loss.
