Good start. The weight loss will be erratic. I have many fasts and in few of my fasts I lost 5lbs in one day. I was never fat, just some belly fat. However, you will also have days when you will lose nothing at all, so don't be disappointed. You will lose 1lb per day on average.
It is a good thing to have a goal of 30, 40 or more days of water fast, but be open and accepting that you may have to quit earlier. Take one day at a time.
For me second day is the hardest. For some it may be third or fourth day, but nothing will be hell, until you make it so. Just be prepared to face some detox symptoms. We do not become obese overnight, so without pain it will not go away.
If you desire more weight loss in the beginning of the fast you can walk for 20 minutes everyday. Then as you progress conserve energy. Keep warm and drink as per thirst. People tend to drink a lot when they have nothing else to do and replace food.
If you can do a 30 day-fast first then feed your body with plant based diet for a month or two then fast again for 30 days, would be an ideal thing.
