Pepe (or anybody else)-Got a ? about bulk recipe and cayenne pepper

I mixed my lemonade last night. I doubled the bulk recipe. My question is related to the cayenne pepper. I just took my first sip and man!!!!!! it's got some kick (the cayenne pepper)!!! I'm concerned that I didn't put the right amount of cayenne pepper in-too much maybe? I put in 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper w/6oz of maple syrup and 60 oz. water. Is this right? This stuff is spicy!!! I have to take a swig of water after every sip of lemonade. I mean, if it's supposed to be this spicy, that's fine. Just wanna make sure I did it right.
