Re: Odor from the Sinuses

Hi, I have, but working on it a terrible sinus infection with this i quess same smell you mention.

Had this infection after an abces broke through my sinus, from my upper molar very difficult thing to get rid of, tried a lot of natural ways to no avail, was on 2 cycles of Antibiotics of wich one cycle contained 2 differant ones, wich did nothing, but hindered and weakened me.

Went to an ent doc, he still said Antibiotics were needed, i was very hesitating because this would be Antibiotic 4 in 4 months time, but i was running out of energy and options lost 15kg felt more dead than alive on days.

But this time my stinking odour went away, and it was only 3 tablets wich did not produce any noticable sides for me, apart from the beneficial bacteria you lose that is.

I was on azithromicin its a macrolide, works on not resistant staph aureus wich i think is the culprit in this smell, Erythomicin even seems to work for resistant staph aureus, but is harder on the body, there are other macrolides aswell.

You could also look into chelidonium majus, and use it in a neti pot, and internal, studys show it very well attacks resistant staph aureus, but you should be the Judge of that.

My problems still not over, congestion blockedge, tinutitis but now i see light at the end of the tunnel, and this azithromycin took away the smell, wich was sickening on its own.

HHmm, it seems the prevpack u used actually is a macrolide? Well i red that for the nasal polyps it is said that if u snort some Goldenseal leaf powder it will remove the polyps, i used a tincture in a neti pot and tilted my head down, not sure if i would do that again it was not very pleasant the next few days, but i am quite sure if u would only flush your maximillaris sinus with it it would cause no disturbance.

Your smell could be caused by bacteria surrounding the polyp, or due to teeth, but i still think the culprit is staph aureus, i think everyone has this one in its nose, but it probably all depends on the balance of them.

Of all my investigation over the months, the 2 succes stories i red were by the way of macrolide.
And i count myself as 1 of them.

Good Luck,
