There's definitely an issue with most of the doctor's I've seen in terms of being candid about the smell. There's this one time where I sat in the waiting area and 2 of the other patients were talking shit about me in another language (which I understand by the way) and yet when I bring it up with him, he says I don't smell at all.

Yet another one put me on Prevacid, where I took it for 2.5 years because he suspected that I had hiatal hernia and acid reflux, even though I told him that I had 0 symptoms of acid reflux. I can't be 100% sure, but I think the Prevacid was the cause of my bowel odor. Before that, I had just the usual underarm and fecal breath issue.

Most people think that our issue is just hygiene in origin, and doctors are people too, so that's where we're at. Unless the doctor has personal experience as the one you've found (or stumbled upon), which is a rarity, unfortunately.
