I went up to 2 grams of vitamin C today and am experiencing very short, sharp bursts of pain right over the liver.
These are the same pains I used to get years ago when I was drinking a lot of alcohol.
I also feel a very phantom/faint tinge of hypoglycemia, though not enough to warrant taking glucose.
I've read up on vitamin C being used to treat liver disease. Is this normal?
Should I back off the dosage or try and push through? Ultrasounds of my liver never showed any scarring, but I drank lethal amounts of alcohol daily for about 7 years. I just don't want to risk damaging it.
