Re: please help...dizziness and cortef
I experienced the same thing. I couldn't take it, I had to wean off by taking licorice and massive amounts of b complex.
It was really rough and am just now leveling off after a lot of crashes for weeks.
Try googling pantothenic acid and ACTH deficiency. It should bring up a free book preview on Google that discusses how a deficiency in key b vitamins can result in pituitary and adrenal dysfunction and it mentions something about glucocorticoid resistance. I think it was linked to a deficiency in these vitamins but not 100 percent sure.
The book is called vitamins and hormones volume 10.
Seems like b1,b2,b5, and b6 can cause a lot of issues centered around pituitary and adrenal function. Looks like some people may need a lot more than what you get in a b complex.
You may want to experiment with up to 10,000 mgs of b5 with b complex and extra b1,b2, and b6 and see if that helps.
Large doses of pantothenic acid seem to be helping me in replacing cortisol supplementation. I haven't tried the other b's other than in a complex yet.
Maybe pantothenic acid and the other b vitamins mentioned, can help stabilize you while on cortef. I haven't tried it yet but it's on the list.
