Re: Chloride Competing with Iodine for Absorption in the Gut

My concern isn't with chlorine. I use the ZeroWater filter system which filters all ions out (including fluoride, even though they don't make they claim that it does. An independent chemist tested the water and found zero fluoride in it) So my water has no chlorine in it.

My concern is with chloride from my salt competing with Iodide for absorption in the gut when they are consumed together.

Kind of like how calcium and magnesium compete for the same transport mechanism when consumed together in higher amounts.
