I read up on tmau2, and apparently there are those times where the body creates way too much trimethylamine for the liver to convert it with its enzymes...So basically its not the lack of enzymes that is causing the odor for TMAU, but it is the fact that the bacteria in the intestines (which is basically SIBO, Candida, and Leaky Gut) are creating way too much trimethylamine.
Also, very importantly, one of the proposed treatments (not the cure) of TMAU is taking Antibiotics on a regular basis in order to get rid of the bacteria in the intestines... Probably because it is the bacteria that might be causing too much trimethylamine.
I fear for the worst... perhaps this disease was initially a minor SIBO/Candida, and led to a disorder that would permanently wreck me for the rest of my life.
