Diatomaceous Earth - intense nausea and frequent BMs?

I need a little help. I started taking 1 teaspoon (once per day) of Diatomaceous earth on Sunday morning. I didn't take any this morning, so I've only been taking it for three days.

Last night after a light dinner I began feeling very nauseous and was on the toilet for about 20-30 minutes. It's actually not really LOOSE stool. It's formed, but soft.

I felt terribly nauseous though and hot/cold at the same time, and afterward felt weak and shaky.

I decided to skip the DE this morning and take it later depending on how I feel. I had a protein shake for breakfast and about one hour later became sick again.

I feel cold but feverish, weak/shaky, nauseous with some stomach gurgling, and have frequent BMS. I've gone probably four times today, and the fourth time I was again on the toilet for probably at least 15 minutes. Prior to last night I felt like the DE was already helping me sleep better and have more energy during the day.

Is this normal? Most people I've talked to said they had very few side effects with DE. This is hard for me to deal with when I'm at work!!! My stomach is SO sour feeling right now. Tweet
