Re: Lordship Salvation vs. Free Grace Guy
These scriptures indicate though that it's not "our" work but God's works through us and I just think it's important to make that distinction because there are plenty of people that actually think it's "their" work and that they are earning salvation.
Phillipians 2:13
for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
Acts 17:28
for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
I believe all of salvation is a gift from being born again, faith, justification, sanctification, glorification, etc. My flesh profits nothing, so it must all be a gift.
John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
