Re: Tried hypnosis for bad eating habit (no success)
Hi Mike,
Hopefully someone has already told you that you have to find the hypnotherapist that is the right one for you - you have to feel in good rapport with them, and they have to find the right hypnotic induction to work with you...plus there are various ways to test the depth of trance to see if you're really in hypnosis.
Ultimately, all hypnosis is SELF-hypnosis: the hypnotherapist is just your guide into hypnosis. We hypnotize ourselfs all day long, like when you're daydreaming, or lose track of where you have to turn while driving cuz your mind is somewhere else...meditation and guided imagery and visualization are all forms of hypnosis, meaning you're taken into a state of inner focus.
However, if you're very skeptical and resistant to being hypnotized, or want to prove no one can hypnotize you, there's no way you will go into hypnosis.
I'm wondering if you're still battling your eating choices? If so, maybe you'll see this note and write back.
