Re: Question for those of you who have researched MC
Seems like a very biased article put out by the meat and dairy industries. Telling paragraphs:
"Lowering energy consumption slows down metabolism and reducing or
eliminating protein, found in meat and fish, can slow the function of the liver. 'This is why the physical symptoms of a long-term detox diet are verysimilar to someone undertaking a fast.'"
and
"Collins says the celebrity status of many detox diets - such as the orange food diet and the raw food diet - create misconceptions that many foods such as meat and dairy are loaded with toxins."
This article suggests that the only balanced diet is one with the "five" food groups. I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years and do just fine without meat and very little dairy. I guess I should expect to die soon. :(
As far as the guy going into a coma after his detox diet - 100-1 odds that he had something else wrong with him.
I am on day 8 of my sixth
Master-Cleanse and alive and happy about it - they should have interviewed me! (Or one of the thousands of other people who had done it).
