What you need to do so become a detective. You need to find out what areas bother you the most. If you feel better outside than your problem is obvious BUT if you feel just as bad outside as you do inside it could be all the leaves on the ground have become moldy and could possibly be contaminating your home. Personally I won't go outside in the fall unless it's absolutely necessary and when I do I wear a surgical mask to collect all the dead leaves that have gathered around the house. We can't take anything away from the carpet getting wet and cement slabs are notorious for wicking up moisture from the ground and causing the carpet to get moldy. Lowes sells some plastic that painters use that has an adhesive on one side. Buy 2 or 3 rolls and cover the carpet hopefully that will give you some relief till you can find a safer place to live
