For almost 2 years now my health has been deteriorating and it seems very rapidly. I have been living at a rental home for 13 years and just entered into a lease/option agreement 2 years ago. The home is on a concrete slab foundation and has a septic tank. We do have town water. We have had some flooding and plumbing issues in the past. The house is carpeted throughout accept for the kitchen and baths. I had noticed some black mold and treated them with clorox and they went away.On Top of regular vacuuming, the carpeting has been shampooed with a steam cleaner at least twice a year. We have one bath that has no ventilation and there are signs of black mold there. All and all we thought that we were handling the problem with household cleaners and sanitizers. I live in a small suburban like community where there are lots of trees. About an acre-sized lot behind my house was sold and the trees were knocked down and left in 2 piles to this day. They did try burning one of the mountains but it didn't seem if the burning bought it down too much. I have seen vultures swarming over the tree mountains on many occasions. I am writing all this to give you an idea of everything that I think is responsible for my current illness. For the past 2 years I have gone more frequently to my primary doctor and others and the emergency room with no answers to what was going on. My symptoms consisted of diarrhea, constipation, uncontrolled flatula, itching burning eyes, puffiness on my check bones and swelling and dark circles under my eyes, nausea,vomiting, extreme fatigue, hot and cold sweats, unbelievable memory loss, ADD? Acne,itching dry and scratchy skin all over body. I am 58 years old and understand that you may start losing hormones and other things but this was very strange. Once I was diagnosed with yeast infection (which I have only had maybe once or twice in my young lifetime), Then a bacterial infection, then was referred to a mental wellness practice for help with my add and (possible memory loss). After doing my own research, I believe that all of this is due to the mold in and around the house and from the cleared lot behind my house. In doing my research I noticed that doctors that treat and diagnose this issue are hard to come by. I did make an appointment for next Tuesday with Allergypartners. They are specialist in allergies but this kind I don't know how extensive. I feel that this is a very urgent issue but this is the earliest appointment that I can get. I am looking for alternative and natural healing methods as well as any info pertaining to specialists mds on this subject in my area, Wilmington, NC. We are making arrangements to move ASAP. As far as what to do about the money we have invested. We are working on that.
