Supporting the liver with nutritionals/herbs

PhosphatidylCholine has many studies showing help in these matters.

Turmeric is a super spice that supports liver health. Make sure you put it in warm water then drink.

Milk thistle type of liver support has shown in some studies to improve liver function. Generally these are combined with other herbs.

Methylation is an important process and defects in it shows liver problems. Methionine, taurine, cysteine and most of the b vitamins participate in this reaction. Folic Acid and B12 are particularly important. Tests can be done to assess methylation (or deficiencies in the above nutrients).

Choline is a b vitamin and plays a key role in liver/gallbladder health (see phosphatidylcholine)

Supporting the body with antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E is always a good choice. Check mineral status using a simple and inexpensive hair test (use Trace Elements Inc). Minerals play critical roles in human health and should not be overlooked. Check with your healthcare provider before starting any program.
