Verge of A Breakdown: Pinworms or Gone Mad?

Dear Lord, someone help me...

I think I might have pinworms, but I haven't the very slightest clue as to HOW I would catch them. No one I know has them, I have terrible back issues so I do not get out much.

I feel the sensations of something crawling around the anal region and itching at night. The itch is very faint, but the crawling sensation worries me. I've tried using a mirror and flashlight to do a self-check, but saw nothing...but three hemorrhoids. My family is thinking I've gone mad, but I'm paranoid...I have enough to deal with, I don't need worms now, especially given how contagious they are and I have a diabetic grandmother living with me.

I had taken a stool test for parasite and ova about a week ago and not received word from the doctors yet.

I have been using garlic and pumpkin seeds, as well as using Reese's Pinworm meds as a precaution. I have also been putting Vaseline with an anti-itch cream, but I still feel the crawling outside...I'm at my wits end, someone shoot me a flair here...I am 18 years old, still in school and working part-time, and these sensations are keeping me up at night, like my spinal disk issues weren't already enough...
