Re: Depressing Hospital dermatology visit today

The dermatologists I went to all said lip licking as well. In the movie "Unbroken", the main star is stranded on a raft for several days in the ocean. His lip skin is hanging off due to dehydration. An intestinal condition I have causes severe dehydration if left untreated. I would ask the dermatologists on Thursday if they know of a good GI doctor to recommend. Besides dehydration, malabsorption or intestinal damage may cause this. Dermatologists focus on the external, but EC really comes from the internal. They say lip licking to say something since they do not want to seem incompetent by saying "I don't know."
