Re: Essential Fatty Acids key in getting liquid bile

I think Telman's point was interesting but I agree, it does leave a lot unanswered. I hope he weighs in, haven't seen him in a while.

The EFA's are needed on a cellular level to create a permeable barrier on the cell wall to allow the proper exchange of minerals throughout the day.  Sodium goes in, potassium comes out sort of thing.

If we don't have these EFA's to maintain a proper cell wall, the body will use cholesterol to build cell walls, which is not permeable.  This is made in the liver. I don't know if this relates to Telman's comments, or if he is speaking strictly on a mechanical level regarding bile in the gut or liver and the body needing EFA's in those organs to maintain liquid bile state.

Regardless, I know a healthy body needs these EFA's.  This is a big part of dehydration, if one lacks proper balance in EFA's, we will be dehydrated because of the cellular exchange of minerals I mentioned above not working properly.  We all know that dehydration will cause stagnate or hardened bile, it's common sense I think.

A friend told me about this info, don't know if it's legit or not, but I'm looking into it...all the best:)
