Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that. I got rid of my indoctrination long ago, so I take full responsibility for anything that I do not understand completely. I am the first person to admit that I have very little understanding of any truth, but there are a few things that I do understand perfectly because I have experienced their reality for myself.

Peter was Simon until Christ made him into Peter. In other words, Christ made Peter and turned him into the rock. Without Christ there is no Peter and no rock because Christ is the rock. Christ is the Word. The gospel of Christ is the rock, as Christ taught.

No man comes to the Father expect by Christ. If Simon Peter received any revelation from the Father, it is only because he was in the presence of Christ.
