Re: this probably needs editing, but might be worth a read for some of you
Another much needed lesson we could learn from the Great State of Colorado is Referendums and Initiatives. But they need a PAC to get it passed here and I am not sure if they understand that.

A quote from the article~ "Kennedy also described the trouble even the most conscientious legislator sometimes has in figuring out what his constituents really think: “I frequently find myself believing that forty or fifty letters, six visits from professional politicians and lobbyists, and three editorials in Massachusetts newspapers constitute public opinion on a given issue. Yet in· truth I rarely know how the great majority of the voters feel, or even how much they know of the issues that seem so burning in Washington.”
If each citizen votes with a $1 bill, and the PAC translates it into campaign donations, they will know how many people are in favor of an issue. But people are too dumbed down, tired and lazy to know whether or not they should be in favor an issue.
"Ben Franklin was approached by a grand Philadelphia lady as the Constitutional Convention ended this day in 1787. Have you given us a monarchy or a republic, she asked the oldest of the Founding Fathers. "A republic, Madam, if you can keep it," he said. And we can see a twinkle in his eye. Wise old Ben Franklin knew that republics were not easy to keep. But he also knew that Americans had sacrificed greatly to achieve their Independence."
