On 13 Feb. 2015, a higher Italian court of appeals overturned the 2012 provincial court decision that the MMR vaccine causes autism. They reviewed the original decision acting on an appeal filed by the Italian Ministry of Health. It was highlighted that the lower court's decision was based on fatally flawed and retracted studies and other recent high quality large scale studies were ignored.

The court concluded: “Studi irrilevanti smentiti dalla comunità scientifica”

Translation: "Irrelevant studies refuted by the scientific community"
