Yes I remember these posts about smen. I never tried to make it though.
The difference in approach here is only a minor. This fermented Ghee is made from fermented milk or yogurt in other words. Then it is churned into butter and made ghee out of. While I read smen is Raw milk churned to butter, THEN fermented for a while. ITs like fermented ghee is first a ferment then a ghee, while smen is first unfermented butter then fermented.
Here is also maybe a divine solution for all this dairy allergy nonsense: C-C-Camel Miiilk??? :-)
