How long can I drink kefir?

I red in few articles that drinking kefir constantly for a long time could be hurtful. I wonder if this is true? If it is, can somebody explain me why? Also if this is true, what should I do with kefir grains while I am not drinking it? How do I preserve them from went bad? Tweet
