Re: Help with Plantar's Wart?

Many years ago, I had a plantar wart burnt off by a doctor, and I swore I would never put myself through that kind of pain ever again. When I got one again (in the same location, leading me to believe the doctor didn't get it all), I used 35% hydrogen peroxide to get rid of it. Be aware that 35% H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) is very different from the 3% stuff from the pharmacy or grocery store. At 35%, it will literally burn the skin and must be handled with extreme caution.

The protocol: Soak the foot in the hottest water you can stand until the wart is softened. With cuticle scissors, pumice stone, callus shaver, etc., cut away as much dead tissue off the top of the wart as possible. The idea is to expose the wart's living tissue; cutting deep enough to bleed a little is not a problem. Then, put a drop of peroxide on the wart. If enough dead tissue has been removed, it will sting. After a couple minutes, dry with a facial tissue and apply another drop. After a couple minutes, dry with the facial tissue. Wait a few days and do it all over again. And, that's it. In my case, the wart was gone forever after that.
