Help with Plantar's Wart?

Hi everyone. I've been struggling with what I thought was a splinter on my foot for going on 2 years now and I just stumbled on a page about plantars warts and I'm thinking maybe that is my issue.

I've had hard skin form over the painful spot and the pain sometimes goes away for a while but resurfaces randomly.

Last night I tried the baking soda paste and it started to ache after a while. Does that mean it is working? I left it on all night and when I woke up, the area was pretty sore. I read that with oregano oil the process is painful for a while so I think I am on the right track but would love some advice.

I've been soaking my foot in Epsom Salts too for a bit but it was the baking soda that got a pretty big response (pain wise) so should I stay on this track?

Thanks.
