Re: Possible iodine deficiency?

Doctors can still be a valuable medical resource but one of the most important lessons I learned as I started to recover from my 15+ yrs of mysterious health problems was to not treat doctors like benevolent medical gods.

I make sure to get a copy of all test results.

Be aware that your doctor won't want to fight your insurance company. If they won't pay for a test, the doctor probably won't order it.

Therefore sometimes you'll have to nudge your doctor to do something extra or you might have to use directlabs.com or other site to get what you think you need.

I did that when I was investigating a possible heavy metal problem. I was somewhat lucky and guessed correctly. My situation was somewhat similar to what Dr Mark Hyman describes in his own case of chronic fatigue, etc!

Good luck as you continue to look for clues.
