Re: Is adrenal fatigue real?
This guy who messaged me thinks not.
Yes Joe...cholesterol is essential for hormone sythesis!
When i looked deeper into these functions i found out that the human body should manufacture its own cholesterol for hormone production - none was needed from the diet.
That of course is what SHOULD happen in a healthy body!
I did research on cholesterol deficiency causes - and at the time was also researching genetics relating to cholesterol synthesis.
My conclusion from my own research i've come to is that some people can easily genetically under-produce and over-produce cholesterol.
It helped to shed light (for me) on possible reasons why people with high cholesterol, despite diet change to no fat/no cholesterol, STILL have high cholesterol readings and end up on medications to treat it.
It's one of the main reasons why heart disease runs in families due to the familial genetic predisposition to over-produce cholesterol and/or also their hormonal ability to correctly synthesis the required hormones from it.
The studies are expanding speedily and exponentially regarding snp's and their mutational effects. It's really an awe-inspiring field of research which shows concrete gene mutations that are common to most diseased states.
We have enough ill people to also test a huge field of samples - which is sad for society, but excellent for research.
Personally, when i added more eggs to my diet my hormonal symptoms lessoned somewhat - i still have hormone synthesis issues but for me, including cholesterol in my diet, with extremely low hormone levels, helped a lot.
I even crave eggs when it's been a day or two without.
So the assumption that because the body SHOULD make it's own cholesterol and can't be why people have hormone problems, IMO, is hugely overlooked in the medical field.
It's worth getting a cholesterol test - while eliminating cholesterol from the diet.
