Does adrenal fatigue ever fully go away??
I could write a book about my whole experience, but I'll try to keep it as brief as possible. After the birth (and possibly during) of my first son, I started experiencing symptoms of adrenal fatigue. I went through a period of crazy high energy, anxiety, and jitters, to now be followed by extreme fatigue. I have been doing better since I stated seeing a natural doctor who specializes in adrenal fatigue and MTHFR (which I found out I have). I also did saliva testing and showed low cortisol.
Anyways, my question is, does this ever go away? It has been almost 6 months since I started a huge amount of supplements, and while I'm seeing improvement, I'm still suffering a lot of unpleasant symptoms. I usually wake up feeling okay, but by about noon my head is spinning, I have whoosing in my ear, my body starts having muscle aches and spasms, anxiety sets in, and this terrible fatigue waves over me.
Prior to my pregnancy, I was happy and healthy and full of energy. The only thing that ever happened to me like this was when I took birth control - i had a terrible reaction...made me super anxious and jittery and caused panic attacks.
Any positive stories out there? Just would be great to know if anyone went through something similar and is doing better? It's been a difficult 2 years for my husband and I and would love to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks!!!
