I may not have stated things correctly in my above post when I said fasting is hard on the liver. I'm not sure how it all works. I hope an expert can clear things up. I know people with liver cancer are advised not to fast. The reason I am questioning my own statement is because of the video I listened to today. Dr. Andre Kruger, who has posted on this forum and who runs a fasting clinic in Africa, said in the video that he fasted a patient to get him in shape for a liver transplant. His liver was obviously very bad, but the fasting doctor still advised fasting. When the fast was over the guy no longer needed a liver transplant. His liver had returned to normal functioning.
