How many is safe?

I have five amalgams, all on the right side of my mouth and all are less then two years old...had I known what I know now, I would have NEVER allowed my dentist to put them in.

Anyway, we finally have the funds to get them taken out....however, it would be cheaper to get them taken out all at once....with it being five...is this dangerous? I know I have read somewhere that you should do it in phases but I can't remember if five is still too much...two of them would need to be crowned....

Lastly, I have no idea what chelating is....or whatever it is you do when you detox/bind metals and express them out of your body, does anyone have a good book or literature to direct me to?
