Marcus, nothing is safe as far as Hg is concerned, ALA helps definitely more than MSM, thanks to these 2 thiols groups, that s why Newport said that MSM is linked to Hg with a weak bond that can be lost.
I take ALA - 400 mg at 1 dose every other day, counting far more on vit. B2, B3, B5 and L-Cystein or NAC to increase the inner production, and mainly hoping that ALA will help with anti-glycation and anti-aging stuff...
