Re: Iodine history

I live in the Appalachian mountain region in PA. Have you ever seen the story Dianne Sawyer did on the kids in WV Appalachia? It's sort of the same way here, but a little more civilized. Parents putting Mt. Dew in baby bottles and just overall making bad choices. They say the kids have an astronomical amount of cavities because most of the towns water supplies aren't spiked with flouride. They tried adding it to the next town to the south and the people just went apeshit over it. As it turns out, there are only a few towns who don't have it and the ones that DO, have a higher rate of tooth decay than the ones that don't. Funny how that works. Although I'm pretty sure that making kool aid from fluorinated water for your kids is equally as dumb.
I don't know if our water supply has it or not, they say no but I'm afraid to even drink the water from the water and ice dispenser on the fridge and that's supposed to be like, triple filtered.
