i would think that anything is better than eating too much. it's good to eat less and it's good to fast. the decision is really up to you. if you think your digestion, or metabolism, is low than you may need to really reduce your caloric intake. i know that can be hard especially if your stomach is stretched out from years of overeating but eventually it will shrink and you will be full from less food. basically you gotta make a decision to do better for yourself and then actually stick to it. good luck
