I'm quite aware of how long it can take for Azathioprine to show any effect.
There was a patient that said it took her 8 months to see progress (somehow I missed to actually see her post here, but somebody else mentioned it the other day).
So I'm not expecting to see anything too soon.
I'll keep moisturizing about once or twice a day. I have to keep on with my life and can't really afford to go back to having major crusts. Moisturizing helps with that, the build up comes off earlierer but usually without much trauma, I believe.
My lips usually felt way more inflammed while leaving them alone, and it was a perfect ground for infections. So I will start to try moisturizing them for the first few months. Not sure if I might have to change that if I don't see any progress after 3-4 months or so. We'll see.
Did you experience any side effects? What was your initial dose and when did you change that dose and to how much?
