Re: Stuttering/stammering and brain fog
Dude,
all the info here I am largely taking from (google ronnie freedman phd depersonalization (brain fog) Regimen for Recovery - and ronnie freedman phd marijuana creates anxiety and depersonalization (brain fog)
I know what you are talking about.
ok so this will be repetitive
but its good... trust me
Stuttering is just brain fog related-Anxiety/Stress related. all wrapped up in confusion and depersonalisation.
Brain fog, stress and anxiety are all part of a package deal. The constant stress that you experience is causing your brain fog. The reason why the stress is perpetuating itself is because without understanding - the idea of what you are going through is scary and just continuously causes more stress, thus brain fog thus stuttering.
So the mere existence of continual stress or stuttering is going to make you feel like something is wrong with you... which makes you more stressed... YOU see it is not an illness it is just a cylce. You are stressed, which creates feelings and thoughts and behaviours that REstress you out CONTINUOUSLY.
So mate,
1st things 1st.
you need to KNOW that this whole thing is just brain fog related and is nothing to do with YOU as a person and it most certainly doesn't mean anything is wrong with your brain.
Knowing this will eliavate that secondary stress of feeling like you have a f***ed up brain or the crappy feeling that comes when you try to rationalise HOW THE f*** you can be the person you know you are "the person you used to be" and this brain fog stuttering version. REALISE that you are not this version of yourself.
it is like if you caught a simple cold and didn't know it was a cold and went about feeling and acting a way about it that lead to you having permanent cold symptoms.
IT IS NOT AN ILLNESS
YOU ARE NOT YOUR BRAIN FOG TEMPORARY SELF
-brain fog lasts as long as your brain is tired.
its tired from all the constant worry and confusion based stress regarding coming to terms with who you are.
How you act and think when you aren't stressed and don't feel depersonalized - THAT IS THE REAL YOU, the badass smooth talking motherf***er who don't take no kak from nobody.
so realise that my friend.

The way to elliavate your brain fog after you have realised that its not a reflection of yourself and is just the results of a tired mind from stress and inward concentration -> is to develop certain habits.
-get a reutine, wake up the same time then go outside to walk or whatever, excersize. then dedicate certain time to what you do - like studying and getting notes in order.. or your career work..
Basically a lot of the reason why brain fog hits certain people is because we are highly sensitive people -
i just mean that we respond to all stimuli more strongly than most people, so you probably indulged in weed/drinking too much and got stuck in a brain fog cycle. AND/OR because we are just stimulant/reactor people we tend to focus heavily on our own selves.. like inward concentration... this causes worry and you must dedicate time to your reutine to get rid of it.
Giving the mind time for a reutine and things like reading, engaging in conversations and being active listener and stuff will heal your brain fog and shift the focus away from yourself and stressing.
also dude eat nutritious foods excersize, drink hella water, don't drink cafeein or sugar. green tea is ok.
try meditation 15 mins a day twice a day.
I know this all seems like a lot to do... and honestly even if you do SOME of it IT will help. I recommmend doing all and more but just maintain a schedule that eliminates stress coming in from career/study because you are on top of it. Your brain needs the reutine to heal from its brain fog. READ heaps.

but dude until reading the 2 links... i have always had this weight hanging over my head - what is wrong with me?
I have been an incredible person in the past and half the time I display flashes of my former self.. confident, ladies man, charming, brilliant, creative, funny, smart.. but for the last couple years I've really had brain fog and the results of that caused even more stress and just created MORE brain fog. I felt like how can I be the one person in one situation and then a stuttering wreck with no self-identity in another.
well now I know, that its just brain fog from a fatigued brain caused by too much stress - in part by a feedback function of experiencing it in the 1st place and simply not giving the brain time to heal from its fatigue. with reutine, goal setting work time, excersize and outside time. reading, engaging in thoughtful and conversations (all these things take away from the symptom of brain fog which is stuttering and feeling depersonalized and confused along with deeep inward attention and worry.
So Go on my friend and be free.
the 1st step is just KNOWING that you are still the same badass you always were, you just have a little temp cold that you now know how to remedy.
