I spends summers in the country in Canada at my parents' house and distill their water. The bottom of the basin is a brown mud color. The water is from a spring-fed well. I also distill outside of Tokyo where I live and the bottom of the basin is a brownish color about a tablespoon or so. What is this? Bromine? Should I be boiling it first or is only distilling enough?
