This has all been covered, ozonate your water before distilling removes the volatile chemicals before the distilling process.

..add some citric acid to the water and bring it to a boil on your stove top to remove the Chloramine.. or build a water ionizer..

As for the plastic, well dowsing or muscle testing helps but its got to be better than a copper pipe with Chloramine, ALU and 3000 pharma meds in it..

Best option is to distill water that has never been treated. But the water Police has pretty much all covered..
