Re: where do God stands. black and light?

Not sure what God being dark or light has to do with what Alex believes about this world.

But as for me, I believe like the Bible says. God is "love", "light", and "spirit". In other words a loving spirit of light.

I know some people believe God is a physical being sitting on a physical throne up in Heaven somewhere, but I just can't buy that from what the Bible says and from my experiences in seeking God.

If God is in everyone and everyone is in God like the Bible says; then God exists in a different plain of existence. Or a different dimension if you're talking science.

The story of Flatland kind of explains it.

If God were physical, how could he physically be in your body too? There has never been an example of two physical bodies living in one body anywhere is history, including the Bible.

If after we die and go to Heaven and meet God, and if we're created "in OUR image, after OUR likeness", (Genesis 1:26 multiple Gods? No. Man in the Bible again.)are we going to be taken to Heaven in our physical bodies?

When Jesus was on the cross, he said to one of the thieves next to him that "today you shall be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Neither Jesus' body nor the thief's body left Earth (for a while at least) that day according to the Bible.

So clearly, Jesus identified "Me" as his spirit that went to Heaven that day. And it's the same with the thief. The old saying that we are a spirit having a physical experience applies I believe.

And remember after Jesus rose again and made several appearances to people, at first they didn't recognize him. In one instance he even walked with them and ate supper with them without them realizing it was him till later.

What explains this? I believe it was because Jesus wasn't in his normal physical body then. He was kind of half way in between being a spirit and physical. He was physical enough for Thomas to feel the wound in Jesus. But wasn't physical enough to be immediately recognized by those who knew him well. Even Mary thought he was the gardener at first.

So when he was "received up into heaven", (Mark 16:19) it was in spiritual form of some kind. It doesn't say his physical body rose up into Heaven.

Also who else is in Heaven? Angels. And I think most will agree that they are spiritual beings.

And if Heaven is physical, then where is it? Is it outside of this universe somewhere? Or is it inside the universe? It would have to be big if Jesus went away and "prepared a place" for us if it was physical, would it not?

God is a loving spirit of light in my opinion. There is more evidence in the Bible that supports this which I won't bore you with. And we are spiritual when we die too. Along with the Angels and Heaven. It's all beyond this physical plain we live in now.

That's my two cents anyway. He was light, not "black" or dark. I think you know who the dark one is Trust. ;-)
