Hi, I'm doing research and noticed nobody replied to you. Some of the Lugols sellers specifically stipulate that their solution is made with MINED ingredients and are not from shellfish derivatives. It you bought one of the non-mined varities, the arginine level would have most definitely given you a flare. Foods high in the amino acid arginine are a no-no. The Risingsun Nutritional Corp sells the MINED variety of Lugols. Hope this helps. Also: if you have not already done so, ask your DR about putting you on a course of antiviral meds.
