Re: Is there a natural way to treat acid reflux?
I cured my acid reflux just by taking very deep breaths using my diaphragm.
Here is my quick story:
I was diagnoised acid reflux last month. My symptoms were: having very low acid levels in my stomach, always feeling full as if I've just eaten a big meal, a very bitter taste in my mouth, having food intolerance for some foods and herbs (onions, lemons, etc).
My doctor did a endoscopy on me and said that I have acid reflux. He gave me a pill to lower my acid levels but I did not take it. Why should I take it when my acid levels were already very low? I did some meditation about my illness and I had the feeling that I have to take very deep breaths from my diaphragm. So i did it, like maybe 20 times and I felt better, I felt as if the bitter taste faded a little bit. So I did it all day and the other day. That ugly taste just vanished and also my digestion started to improve. I has been 2 weeks and my stomach is fine and i am very happy. Now I take occasional deep breaths everyday. Last week, I visited my mother and it was hard to say no to her so I ate a lot. While we were still on the table, I had this very uncomfortable feeling in my stomach, like things were going upwards from my gullets. So while we were just chatting around the table, I started to take deep breaths again, slowly and my mother did not even notice it. And after a couple of minutes later, I felt better. ( more or less maybe 30 breaths.) My stomach digested the food which contain spring onion without any problem. So please try it, it worked for me.
How I take breath: I just close my mouth, and inhale slowly from my nose while concentrating on my belly. Don't expand your ribs, just expand your belly. I imagine that there is big balloon in side my belly and I inflate it with my breath. Let the breath be in your belly for 4 or 5 seconds and exhale slowly.
I learned a lot from curezone, I am very thankful to everybody who contributes here so I wanted to share this with you and other people. Maybe it would help somebody.
