"Energy boosts" don't sound good. Dr. Lam talks about levelling out energy swings as you begin to repair. In my case I levelled out and down somewhat before slowly rebalancing, with very minor intraday changes and dips, but no "crashes". As for supplements, there are many knowledgeable people on this site that I have learned a lot from. But in my case trying to rebalance my body's balancing mechanism with trial and error involving pill protocols, herbs and other heavy handed interventions may have pushed me into 9 months of insmnia (still wondering about role of copper / detox). I have gotten much better with patience and eating nutrient dense organic food and allowing my body to choose the nutrients it needs, when it needs, in the dosages it needs. "Low and slow" everyone says here when someone else gets into troubole with a supplement. Low and slow is only possible when using food as your medicine. This all presupposes knowing your root casue of AF. In my case stuck in over-vigilant fight or flight, and worling on that over time.
